A Community Treasure

pathways meander through the green space on the corner of
Cedar Street and Oak Avenue in downtown Annandale. In the middle of
this space is the clock tower
built in the 1980s by Lakedale Telephone Company. The clock tower's
initial purpose was to house the latest technology of that era. In
2012, with dedicated volunteer leadership,
valuable private
donations,
and the support of the City of Annandale, the area around the clock
tower became an extraordinary community gathering place
– Clock Tower Park.
